My mom gave me this great basket for my birthday last week. Newman has all the sudden decided yarn in the best thing in the world and will not leave my knitting alone. I decided I’d like this lined so I could use it for my projects, preferably with a drawstring top so I could close it up when I’m not knitting and leave it next to my chair. Everyone on Instagram was so helpful in their suggestions. I don’t want to do anything permanent to the basket, so I was trying to figure out non-permanent ways of going about this.
I don’t think it matters now, as Newman has claimed this for himself. Problem solved. No need to line it. I’ve caught him in this almost every day when I walk into the sewing room.
He’s such a brat. I don’t know how his fat, fluffy self fits in there. This cat is bound and determined to fit into every box, basket and bag he can. It’s quite entertaining to see him cram himself into a Lego box.
Awe, he's adorable! Cats do squeeze themselves into the funniest places to sleep.

Oh well, at least he's stopped playing with your yarn :oD
ReplyDeleteI love you "Lining". Very cute!
ReplyDeleteNewman wants to know why you keep bothering him when he is in the basket. Obviously, it belongs to HIM! LOL
ReplyDeleteP.S. Not everyone can afford fur linings for their baskets!
Pics of the lego box cramming would requested! I would love to see that - too cute he is!!!!
ReplyDeletegorgeous basket and Newman just enhances its beauty.

hahahahaha! Reminds me of one of my all time favourite kids books:

:-D
So THIS is how you line a basket! Cats LOVE small spaces and Newman seems pretty happy there. :)
ReplyDeletehaha- My cat does the same thing (wel, I think ALL cats do)! I know I have to leave a covering over my craft area so when my disobedient cat lays on top of my latest project while I'm gone...furs on the cover & not the project!
ReplyDeleteCats love small spaces don't they? He looks so cute though!

Love your fur-lined basket
ReplyDeleteLook how cute and comfortable he is! I once had a basket similar w/out handles my old granny-cat claimed as her own. Even added a small quilted pillow for her. She possessed it for over 15 years before her passing.
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about making a little pillow to go inside for him. Although i'm worried if I do that there might not be enough room for him! He's taken to completely curling up inside and that means he has his head in there, too!
DeleteHe is such a beautiful boy!
ReplyDeleteLOL I think Newman has lined that basket quite well with his furry self. Too cute.
ReplyDeleteIt would have to be a very thin pillow like fabric and batting
I love your kitties' pictures!!!!!
